Hello to all you footie fans...

I have (yet again) created another fantasy football league to keep you all occupied whilst at work/school/staying in bed (students). Please visit, http://www.fantasy.premierleague.com

Follow the rules to create your team.

This year there are two leagues, there is a classic league, where by the winner is the team with the most points. The pin number for which (You will see how the pin number works) is 278665-73773

There is also a head to head league, whereby each week, teams will 'play' another team within the league. the team who scores the most points during that game week, wins the match (and also 3 points). The pin for which is 278665-73780

Remember you can join both league...

Good luck (You'll need it)

THE LEAGUE COMMITTEE HAS DECIDED THAT FOR THE 2010 SEASON THE SUBMISSION OF RESULTS IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL HOME TEAMS IN ALL 2nd , 3rd, and Central LEAGUE GAMES -
AND FINES WILL BE ISSUED FOR LATE OR NON_COMPLIANCE.

The 2010-11 season will see the full and compulsory use of the text messaging of results directly to the website.

As in the trial, teams will be required to text the result of their game using a standard text message,in a specific format, posted to a dedicated MRHA number - for instant logging and immediate viewing by all ....

Any member of the home team can post a preview match result - there is no requirement to registed a mobile phone to use this service - and the cost is that of a single text message from your normal network provider.

The result MUST be supplied by the HOME side immediately after the game - see formatting below - and will be acknowledged with a confirmation reply text. There is no additional charge for this reply message.
All results logged will be immediately available for viewing, alongside updated league tables.

The only stipulation is that the message MUST be in a specifically coded format - as outlined here and in the MRHA Handbook. http://www.mrha.co.uk/textintro.asp

The system will be closely monitored for usability and possible abuse - and the administrators have the ability to permanently block/ban any mobile device that is found abusing the system.

Streetly 2-5 Old Hales

On a wet and soggy day at Streetly School, Old Hales battled against treacherous conditions to return to winning ways thanks to another five goal performance. The first ten minutes Old Hales were on the back foot as they left only Reg Rogers on his own upfront but after a triple substitution went one nil up as Deck Glaze scored with his first touch of the game. Tom Underhill continued his fine form by losing his marker in the final 3rd of the pitch to beat the keeper to make the score 2-0. A late call up to the side for Ashley Greaves really paid off and with Damien Shackleton on hand, started to dominate the midfield. Pat Nagle provided some great cover at left back as he prevented the Streetly counter attack. Streetly did pull a goal back and were unlucky to concede a 3rd, when Greaves added to his summer tally. Ryan Middleton was putting his Sunday morning training into action by coming out of his goal to narrow down the angle which worked with great success, he was beaten only once and as the ball was rolling towards the line was cleared by the captain as he acted as the recovering defender. Tom Underhill scored just after the break, which makes him the sides leading goal scorer going into the final three games. Old Hales lost their way and conceded a goal and it would have been more if Painter hadn’t cleared a 2nd goal bound effort off the line from a short corner. The final goal gets credited to Ash Greaves as it was deemed to have already crossed the line before Charles Palmer was able to goal snatch. In the final moments of the game Glynn Dudley showed his fighting spirit for which he is famous for. Inspired performances from James Davies and Alex Curzon gave confidence to the side as they made impressive debuts, as did Laura Underhill who is making the v-drag her signature move and showed the ladies can mix it with the men. Final away game next week at Walsall.

Old Hales 3-3 Lodge Park

Old Hales lost their 100% summer league record in an entertaining and enjoyable game at Windsor. Old Hales were unfortunate to go two nil down in the first off after a very even exchange. It was debutant Nick Anderson that started the fight back with a fine strike into the bottom right corner of the goal. Charles Palmer unselfishly turned provider yet again for Tom Underhill to score the equaliser as the race for top scorer hotting up with only one goal separating the boys. Another person making a name for himself on the scoring charts is young Joe Rose as he gave Old Hales the lead mid way through the 2nd half. Man of the match this week without a question of doubt falls to Stuart Andrews who produced save after save and was not afraid to leave his line to charge down an opponent when required. Was brave to carry on after taking a nasty blow late on and there was nothing he could do to prevent Lodge Park scoring an equaliser in the final moments as the team tired. Next week there is no official match so a knock around for anyone interested at Windsor 6.30 meet for a 7 start, if you have not heard from me already please declare your interest.
